Alphabet

The alphabet is given in Devanagari and in its Latin transcription. The transcription follows ISO 15919 guidelines; the one difference is that व is transcripted as w rather than v as w is closer to the Persian phonology. The IPA is given in brackets for those transcriptions which differ from their IPA symbols.

Introduction

I created this blog in order to teach Persian using the Devanagari and Latin alphabets. I am doing this because I have noticed many people do not wish to start learning Persian as they feel overwhelmed by the Perso-Arabic alphabet. And also to emphasize on Persian the Indianess of it and to show its influence on all Indian languages.
